Huge Surfing Wall Murals
An awesome way to decorate your walls is with surf wall murals as opposed to small surfing posters. I have been to a yoga studio in Australia that had a wall mural of a surfer dropping in on a huge wave. The wall mural made a big impact, especially since it made the massive wave life size!
Below are some of my favourite surfing photo wall murals.
A Surfer Rides a Powerful Wave off the North Shore of Maui Island – Wall Mural
Surfing the Tube at Dunes, Noordhoek Beach, Cape Town, South Africa – Wall Mural
Surfboards on Tropical Beach, Bali – Wall Mural
Surfer in Ripcurl, Hawaii – Wall Mural
Surfers at Bells Beach, Torquay, Australia – Wall Mural
The landscape beach wall murals below may not have waves or surfing, but I still think they invoke a nice beachy feeling. I wouldn’t mind one of the tropical island murals in my apartment on a rainy cold day like today!
The Great Wave of Kanagawa, from the Series “36 Views of Mt. Fuji” (Fugaku Sanjuokkei) – Wall Mural
Tropical Sunset on Beauvallon Bay, Seychelles – Wall Mural
Bay of Honeymoon Island, World Heritage Site, Rock Islands, Palau – Wall Mural

Bright and Fun Surf Paintings
Surf Paintings
Below are some of my favourite surf paintings available as a poster, print, canvas etc. They are bright, fun and will warm up any room!
Scott Westmoreland Surf Art
Scott Westmoreland brings back yesteryear with his bright, nostalgic paintings of surf scenes, wood-sided cars and tropical islands. Originally a designer and illustrator who created posters, programs and brochures for the theater, Westmoreland also provided artwork for the movie industry, and later became a full-time Disney artist. Now a freelancer focusing on fine art, Westmoreland has painted a Hawaiian Islands series, and his work has appeared on TV shows, magazine covers, ads and over 50 products.
This high-quality art print is expertly produced to capture the vivid color and exceptional detail of the original.
Rick Romano Surf Art
Rick Romano is a Virginia Beach artist who has made a living drawing and painting in the saltwater environment he’s grown up with. An avid windsurfer and surfer for over twenty years, Rick is forever inspired by the timeless beauty and power of the sea. His unique style colorfully reflects his passion for the ocean worldwide. In his earlier years, many of his works were of coastal landmarks such as old beach cottages, lighthouses and popular beach locations. Today with the growing demand for tropical and surf-related themes, Rick is devoting his studio time for exactly these themes. Rick quotes, ” For most of my early years I drew surfers and waves, with palmtree beaches. Now that it’s in demand, I get to return back to a childhood dream and paint surfing for the fun of it.”

Ron Croci Surf Art
Ron Croci is more than just an accomplished multi-media artist with 30 years of commercial and fine art experience. He continuously searches for new and different ways of expressing his love for the ocean. As a water sports enthusiasts, surfer and diver, his paintings and prints depict joyful scenes of women in water sports, ocean landscapes and beachscapes.

Valiere Surf Art
A quote from Steve Valiere about surfing. “For me, to go surfing is really to find my center. It’s a meditation, it’s a yoga, it’s a grounding. … And then there’s the essential purity of it – stripping down and going into the ocean. And once you take off, that’s it – you and the wave – like the tip of the source, the outreach from the source, and that feels good, yeah? Because everyone wants to be part of the source.”

Vintage Surfing Posters by Rick Sharp
Rick Sharp is one of my absolute favorite artists when it comes to vintage surfing posters. Sharp grew up in Houston, Texas. After receiving a scholarship from winning a stateside competition as “most talented” moved to California. At age 19 his career took of getting a lot of publicity after winning two major poster competitions. For over 10 years living in Santa Barbara Rick created posters, designs and calendars in his cool 60’s style.
During his twenties Sharp worked with a lot of musicians, creating posters for Leon Russel, Melissa Manchester, Andrea Crouch and more. Rick’ s first contact with surfing was working with Hang Ten sportswear, which helped launching his international career.
Rick later moved to Hawaii where he worked with pastels, brushes and palette knives and bright colors in contrast to his earlier work. Today Sharp sharp has a wide collection of vintage surf and travel posters published in Hawaii and all over the world.

Vintage Hawaii Surfing Posters – beautiful line ups
I found these beautiful and almost romantic surf posters by surf artist Wade Koniakowsky. Wade started drawing pretty much instantly as a kid and got involved in surfing at age 12, around 1966. By then I was immersed in art as well. Naturally, surfing would be a favourite subject. If you want to read more about Wade, this is a really great interview. These few pieces of Hawaii surf art are my favorites, please feel free to browse more of Wade Koniakowsky surf art
